Powerful aromas of very ripe fruit (blackcurrant, cherry) and liquorice, dried flowers and smoky notes. Great full-bodied on the palate, combining a lot of substance and freshness. The tannins finely wrap the whole palate, which ends on a beautiful length.

Tasting

When ?

Up to 15 years old. Serve between 15 and 16°C after one hour of aeration in a decanter.

How ?

Ideal to accompany red meats where ripe and velvety tannins absorb the bleeding from the dish. Try with a grilled rib of beef, wild boar stew, roast deer or braised beef tail. A more evolved Marie from 5 to 10 years old will do wonderfully well on dishes in Burgundy sauce.

The Wine Estate

Domaine Lambert, created in 1987, is located at "Les Chesnaies" in Cravant-les-Coteaux. Cabernet Franc (for red and rosé wines) and Chenin (for white wines) are the two grape varieties used on the estate. Pascal, the winegrower, cultivates about 17 hectares in Cravant-Les-Coteaux and Chinon, and has been practicing organic farming on the estate for almost 20 years. Since 2005, the vines have been worked in biodynamic cultivation....
