Garnet colour with purplish tints. Notes of blackcurrant and cocoa on the nose. The palate is round and crisp.
Montrose Rouge is a gourmet wine. Its light tannins and fruity aromas make it the ideal companion for aperitifs with friends or impromptu meals. To be drunk within two years.
Each grape variety and terroir are vinified separately. The grapes are destemmed.
Short maceration (7 days) then fermentation in juice at low temperature (22°) for grenache and syrah. For the Merlot, longer maceration (3 weeks) and fermentation at higher temperature (29°) with pumping over and juice discharge.
Serve slightly refreshed as an aperitif. At the table with red meats, grilled meats, cheese....
