A dark red with slightly tiled orange highlights. The nose is very complex with orange peel, liquorice, cherry, prunes, toasted bread; on aeration, a rapid evolution on mentholated notes. The palate is supple with tannins that are well blended by its ageing in barrels.
The word of the Winemaker, :
This exceptional wine is the result of the continuous maturing of the wine by blending vintages, aged in oak barrels since 1995.
From one year to the next, a third of its volume is removed from the barrel at the time of bottling. The missing part is then completed by the next vintage. The "base" wine is our "Côte de Champtin" vintage.
