It is a round, easy-drinking wine, a blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah planted in the 1970s, destemmed, vinified in cement vats, with vats short enough to favour notes of small red fruits and roundness.
In 1983, Fernand, my stepfather, made this wine for his son's 18th birthday. It was given this name Bernard and I in 1995.
It is the wine to share with friends. I was recently told "he's very diplomatic: he makes everyone agree"
It is a supple, delicious wine, easy to drink, to accompany Catalan charcuterie or grilled meats.
