Château de Lavernette is the last one chosen by Vicky, but it has been one of my favourite choices for years. Beautiful, organic, biodynamic, the vineyard rhymes with rigour and poetry for straight, fresh and unique wines.
Fruity and floral nose. A round and light wine.
Its age gives it some oxidative aromas such as quince, which makes it less lively but more complex, pleasant both as an aperitif and with cheese. It is a credit to the region, the best white Beaujolais I have tasted to date.
