My domaine "Le jardin super" is located in Treilles, Aude, in the Corbières maritimes. We're 15 km from the sea and 250 meters above sea level, in a quiet little village. I grow carignan, grenache, caladoc and syrah. The geology of the plots is complex, with limestone, schist and volcanic stone. I work 1.3 hectares of vines. It's a small estate. In fact, I have several jobs, a bit like the old farmers. I also work in the cultural sector....
I became a winegrower by chance. It was an encounter with a group of people, a magnificent terroir and old vines that had been organically farmed for 20 years... The approach is experimental and committed to clean agriculture. I produce wines without inputs (zero yeast, zero sulfites, zero oenological crutches...), without technology (no gas, no cooling of the vats...), in short, it's 100% grape juice and elbow grease....
Producing an organic wine, without any vinification input, with little mechanisation is, for me, an aesthetic and political project. France needs a large number of farmers to settle on small farms, to produce healthy food and to repopulate our countryside.
