Les Frères ENGEL

The Domaine des Frères Engel is located in Orschwiller, in the Bas-Rhin, in central Alsace. At the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg, the village is the stronghold of this castle! In Organic Agriculture since 2014 and vintage 2022 certified Demeter.
Our harvest is 100% manual. We work with all the Alsatian grape varieties: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir; in AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru Praelatenberg and in AOC Crémant d'Alsace! The majority of our vines are on the slopes, with a perfect south-east exposure, a gneissic soil (quartz and mica) which brings a minerality and a beautiful freshness to our vintages.

Our story

We are Independent Winegrowers and proud of it ! Family estate above all, we constantly seek to evolve, as much in the vineyard as in the tank. Hubert & Jacques take care of the vineyard and Pierre of the cellar. We are complementary! We work all the grape varieties with the same passion.
