La Crau de Ma Mère is a very beautiful cuvée, a solar wine like its terroir, both powerful and distinguished. Its nose offers a complex palette of aromas of blackberries, spices and animal notes. The palate is supple and generous with aromas of ripe red fruits, coated tannins and a chocolate finish.
The word of the Winemaker, Françoise Roumieux :
La Crau de Ma Mère comes from a selection of very old vines located in the Crau area. One of the parcels planted just after the phylloxera period (1866) belonged to our paternal grandmother, Marie-Louise Mayard. Our father called it "la Crau de ma Mère" (my mother's Crau), hence the name of this cuvée.
