Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine is one of the oldest appellations in the Nantes wine region, and the largest in terms of surface area and production (470,000 hl per year). Its only grape variety is the Burgundy melon.
The vineyard is located south-east of Nantes, it extends over twenty-three communes and is surrounded by two rivers, the Sèvre Nantaise and the Petite Maine.
Installed on a variety of soils, the vineyard provides structured wines and wines for ageing. For a beautiful structure, the grapes are selected and picked on late terroirs.
Visually, the wines of Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine are pale with green and gold highlights. On the nose, fruity aromas dominate with some floral notes. On the palate, these wines are round and powerful. The marine aromas and mentholated notes explain the perfect marriage of these wines with seafood products.
