Les Grappes is venturing into wine tourism and diversifying its offerings

Les Grappes, the leading platform for buying wine directly from winemakers, today announces the launch of its wine tourism division with the acquisition of Vinizos.

Four years after launching its service to allow individuals to easily buy directly from winemakers and two years after launching its business dedicated to catering professionals, Les Grappes is launching a new service to allow its customers to book tastings and activities with its 1000 winemakers.

Wine tourism seemed like the logical next step in the mission we set for ourselves when we started in 2014: to bring winemakers and consumers closer together ,” says Loïc Tanguy, founder of Les Grappes. “ With this new activity, we will offer our customers a new experience by allowing them to book wine-related activities and tastings with our 1,000 winemakers.

Les Grappes acquires Vinizos, a pioneer in online wine tourism

Launched in 2014 by two friends (Romain Rozmanowski and Mickael Loreau) who met at ESSEC business school, Vinizos quickly established itself as a major player in wine tourism. Four years later, Vinizos boasts over 250 winemakers, 1,500 activities, and enables 30,000 visitors each year to enjoy wine tourism experiences in France.

We are very happy to join Les Grappes today. A real affinity has been created between the teams but above all we are convinced that offering a complete experience around wine (from tasting to online purchase), both for winemakers and for wine lovers, brings considerable value to the wine market ” says Mickael Loreau, CEO and founder of Vinizos.

With this acquisition, Les Grappes demonstrates its ambitions by offering a comprehensive and unique service to the wine industry: booking tastings with 1,000 winemakers, the ability to communicate online with these winemakers, and direct purchasing from the estates. “ My partners and I launched Les Grappes in 2014 because we felt that wine distribution in France was inefficient and was leaving behind excellent winemakers who were poorly distributed or not distributed at all. Since our launch, we have therefore sought to increase their visibility and provide them with digital solutions tailored to their needs. With this acquisition, we are very pleased to take another step in our development and to offer our winemakers a new solution, ” says Loïc Tanguy.
