Vincent Stoeffler
In Alsace, Domaine Vincent Stoeffler relies on a profound, long-acquired knowledge of its parcels and grape varieties. Vineyard work aims for optimal ripeness, without seeking overconcentration, to preserve the natural balance of the grapes and the clarity of the terroirs.
The Rieslings are vinified in a straightforward and luminous style, with controlled tension that highlights the freshness of Alsatian soils. The Gewurztraminers are intentionally restrained in their aromatic expression, to avoid any heaviness and maintain genuine drinkability. Organic practices enhance the precision of the juices and contribute to the overall clarity of the cuvées.
The wines are primarily aged in large oak barrels, which allow for slow, steady oxygenation without overpowering the wines. This approach preserves the fruit, adds body without excess, and allows each grape variety to express itself clearly. The wines exhibit distinct profiles, eschewing a uniform style in favor of consistency and fidelity to the vintage.
The estate thus produces wines that are approachable and well-balanced, built more on consistency and precision than on showmanship.
