NOUS Vignerons is a collective of winemakers brought together by Les Grappes, whose goal is to put winemakers who harvest their own grapes back at the heart of the wine aisles in mass-market retailers. WE are men and women committed to the planet, winemakers, and flavor—it’s as simple as that. WE provide a tailored solution for each store with the aim of bringing new magic to the wine aisle. 

Through NOUS Vignerons, we aim to bring winemakers and consumers closer together by giving winemakers access to the mass-market retail sector—a market we wouldn’t be able to reach without the collective. At the same time, we want to allow consumers to put a face to the bottle they buy at the supermarket. To make this possible, we’ve come together to promote committed, responsible, and forward-looking winemaking.

The French wine industry, with its 59,000 vineyards in 2020, has been facing numerous challenges in recent years. It is experiencing difficulties due, among other things, to climate change, the primary consequences of which are an increase in extreme weather events (frost in 2021, drought in 2022) and a significant drop in yields.

Furthermore, the wine section in supermarkets needs to be revitalized to regain its vitality and attract younger generations.

Our role, therefore, is to help winemakers gain access to the French mass-market retail sector and to support retailers who wish to make this transition toward wines from independent winemakers and toward more responsible viticulture that is adapted to climate change—all to create the wines and store shelves of tomorrow!
