Plugwine Becomes Les Grappes Pro Direct Vigneron

Following the acquisition of Plugwine in 2023, 2025 marks a new phase with its evolution into Les Grappes Pro Direct Vigneron.
Restaurants, wine merchants, and HORECA professionals now benefit from a single, dedicated platform designed to better guide them through the offerings, featuring a more transparent pricing structure and direct access to a wide selection of cuvées from independent winemakers.

Les Grappes Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

In 2025, Les Grappes celebrated its 10th anniversary!
Ten years dedicated to championing independent winemakers, showcasing estates across France, and gradually building an alternative way to purchase wine online. Since its inception, much has evolved, but the core desire remains the same: to connect those who craft wine with those who enjoy it.

Launch of Les Grappes Services

Over the years, Les Grappes has also developed a business dedicated to wine professionals with the creation of Les Grappes Services.
The core idea has remained consistent since the beginning: to simplify the daily operations of winemakers and enhance the distribution of their wines. Today, we support hundreds of estates with their distribution, logistics, and digital development, both in France and internationally.

Les Grappes Acquires Vins Étonnants!

Les Grappes marks its third acquisition within a year and continues its expansion with the takeover of Vins Étonnants, broadening its B2C offering to achieve its ambition: to become the leading distributor for independent winemakers, with Les Grappes now referencing 2,000 of them!

Les Grappes Acquires Petites Caves!

Les Grappes strengthens its B2C e-commerce activity and its positioning around environmentally and consumer-friendly wines with the acquisition of Petites Caves!

Launch of "Nous Vignerons!"

We launched a collective aimed at enabling grower-winemakers to be listed with major retailers they typically cannot access. Our objective? To allow consumers to associate a face with the bottle they purchase in supermarkets.

Through this collective, we continue this mission with the goal of placing grower-winemakers at the forefront of wine aisles in mass retail.

APRIL 2023

Les Grappes Acquires Plugwine!

Les Grappes formalizes the acquisition of Plugwine, positioning itself as the leader in services for winemakers! This enables the provision of a comprehensive offering for the wine industry, supported by a team of 60 employees and over 1,700 partner winemakers.

SEPTEMBER 2022

4 Million Euro Funding Round

Last September, we raised 4 million euros from Demeter IM, a firm specializing in investments for ecological transition. A record achievement for the team!

FEBRUARY 2022

Our First Carbon Footprint Assessment

We completed our first carbon footprint assessment! In collaboration with Greenly, we are now certified. This marks a second victory following our B-Corp certification, further demonstrating our commitment to short supply chains and responsible winemakers.

OCTOBER 2021

Les Grappes Enters Export Market

Italy, a cornerstone of European gastronomy, becomes the first country to import wines from our grower-winemakers. To date, over 1,500 professionals in more than 40 countries already trust us. Our Export team continues to expand year after year!

APRIL 2020

Launch of the 'I Love My Winemaker' Initiative

The health crisis had severe consequences, not only from a health perspective but also economically. To support our winemakers, we launched the 'I Love My Winemaker' initiative, mobilizing the public to raise awareness of the industry's challenges and providing free e-commerce stores.

DECEMBER 2018

Les Grappes Becomes a B-Corp Company

Following months of auditing to meet the demanding B-Corp questionnaire requirements, Les Grappes became the 55th French company to obtain this American certification, which recognizes businesses that benefit both the world and everyone.

OCTOBER 2017

Les Grappes Book Launch

Approached by the publishing house Milan (Bayard Group) to write a book about wine, we chose to dedicate a book to our winemakers: a tour of France featuring 80 winemakers, highlighting these 80 men and women with extraordinary journeys.

Launch of Les Grappes PRO

In January 2017, Les Grappes launched Les Grappes Pro, its service dedicated to professionals in the hospitality and retail sectors.

SEPTEMBER 2016

Acquisition of Vinocasting

Les Grappes acquired Vinocasting, a company that, after raising 300k euros, developed an algorithm to determine customers' oenological profiles.

MAI 2016

Acquisition of Le Vin de France

Les Grappes has acquired Le Vin de France, a website that sells wine directly from winemakers. With this acquisition, more than 100 winemakers and 10,000 members are joining the Les Grappes community.

DECEMBER 2015

Partnership with Le Parisien newspaper

Les Grappes now manages the Wine section of LeParisien.fr. The Les Grappes blog for Le Parisien is currently ranked as the 4th largest wine blog.

€700,000 Fundraising Round

This fundraising round, secured from private investors and representing the largest seed funding in the wine sector, enables us to structure our project. Quentin and Nicolas have joined the team.

SEPTEMBER 2014

The Les Grappes Adventure Begins

Our website lesgrappes.com officially launched on September 25, 2014, featuring 20 listed winemakers. This provided an opportunity to host a successful launch event with our initial winemakers and first clients at our future premises in incubator 27.

December 2013, The Very Beginning

Loïc Tanguy, founder of Les Grappes, discovered the wine of an exceptional grower-producer at a trade fair (Château de Valmer). A few months later, he sought to purchase more and contacted the winemaker, who only sold his wines direct from the estate with a minimum order of 24 bottles and payment by... check. In 2013, very few winemakers had an online sales platform, and they lacked the infrastructure to ship small quantities.

Loïc ultimately cancelled his order (indeed, accommodating 30 bottles in a small Parisian apartment is no easy feat), but this experience sparked the idea for Les Grappes, with the ambition to facilitate direct purchases from independent winegrowers.

Les Grappes was thus born from the desire to simplify direct wine purchases from producers and to connect wine buyers with winegrowers by removing the key barriers to direct purchasing: logistics and payment processing.
