Champagne Drappier
The Drappier house is located in Urville, in the Côte des Bar, and belongs to a Champagne family that has been present in the region since 1808, making it one of the oldest houses still run by the same lineage. The vineyard lies on Kimmeridgian soils and is distinguished by a high proportion of Pinot Noir, complemented by rare grape varieties such as Arbane and Petit Meslier.
Drappier practices meticulous viticulture, with the majority of its plots farmed organically. Soil cultivation without herbicides, attention to biodiversity, and winemaking that prioritizes the natural expression of the fruit characterize its approach. The wines are often crafted with little or no dosage, emphasizing purity and minerality.
The house is also committed to strong environmental initiatives, including carbon neutral certification, and its champagnes are appreciated for their elegance, tension and aging potential.
