Champagne Drappier

Brut Rosé Nature

Champagne | Pink | NM

This rosé de saignée from Maison Drappier showcases Pinot Noir through meticulous winemaking. Organically grown on the Jurassic limestone soils of Urville, this natural wine expresses a seductive minerality that balances its generous fruity notes obtained through maceration. With extended bottle aging, it avoids filtration to preserve its full richness. Ideal for those seeking an authentic and refined experience.

Our opinion on the vintage

The nose of this rosé immediately reveals fresh aromas of strawberry and raspberry, complemented by a subtle floral touch of rose petal. On the palate, the intensity of red fruit harmonizes with a citrusy vibrancy, particularly mandarin, and is enhanced by a delicate note of white pepper. The silky texture and elegant structure of this wine make it wonderful as an aperitif or paired with salmon carpaccio, sushi, or grilled meats. Ideally served at 7°C to fully appreciate all its nuances.

Champagne Drappier

Champagne | France

The Drappier house is located in Urville, in the Côte des Bar, and belongs to a Champagne family that has been present in the region since 1808, making it one of the oldest houses still run by the same lineage. The vineyard lies on Kimmeridgian soils and is distinguished by a high proportion of Pinot Noir, complemented by rare grape varieties such as Arbane and Petit Meslier.

Drappier practices meticulous viticulture, with the majority of its plots farmed organically. Soil cultivation without herbicides, attention to biodiversity, and winemaking that prioritizes the natural expression of the fruit characterize its approach. The wines are often crafted with little or no dosage, emphasizing purity and minerality.

The house is also committed to strong environmental initiatives, including carbon neutral certification, and its champagnes are appreciated for their elegance, tension and aging potential.
