Domaine de Bablut

Coteaux de l'Aubance Grandpierre 2010

Coteaux de l'Aubance | White | 2010

This sweet wine from Grandpierre is the product of environmentally conscious organic viticulture, where Chenin Blanc grapes flourish on grey-green schist soils, encouraging the development of noble rot. Harvested by hand, each carefully selected grape concentrates unique flavors. Vinification in oak barrels, without the use of sulfites, allows for natural fermentation that preserves a balanced and refined sweetness. Eighteen months of aging in oak barrels ensures its maturity.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first whiff, Grandpierre captivates with its rich aromas of candied fruit and delicate vine blossoms, evolving into mineral notes of licorice and warm stone. On the palate, it reveals a silky texture, where lightness and sweetness harmonize without heaviness. The minerality of the terroir elevates each sip, making the whole wine radiate. Long and elegant, this wine is best enjoyed at an ideal temperature of 8 to 10°C and pairs perfectly with foie gras or blue cheeses. Its exceptional aging potential promises an exciting evolution over the years, offering a tasting experience that time will only enrich.

Bablut Estate

Domaine de Bablut

Loire | France

In Anjou, Domaine de Bablut primarily works with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, emblematic grape varieties of the region. The vineyard rests largely on schist soils, which impart a tension and vibrancy to the wines, perceptible in both the white and red varieties.

The winemaking process is carried out with precision, favoring moderate extraction to preserve the purity of the fruit and the balance of the structure. The white wines express themselves with lively and straightforward profiles, while the reds maintain a clear framework and measured structure. Aging remains discreet, designed to complement the wines without influencing their style.

All the wines are distinguished by an assumed sobriety and a natural relief, offering a faithful and legible reading of the Anjou terroirs, without seeking effects or demonstration.
