L.A. Cetto

Nebbiolo LA Cetto

Sans Appellation | Red | 2018

This wine is made from hand-selected grapes and vinified using traditional Nebbiolo methods: fermentation in tanks followed by 16 months of aging in oak barrels. The style blends fruity richness with a spicy structure, in a medium-full body. An expressive and elegant red wine with soft tannins and a well-defined aromatic profile.

Our opinion on the vintage

The deep ruby robe with garnet highlights heralds a wine of character. The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, raspberry, dried rose petal, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supported by fresh acidity and fine yet present tannins. The overall impression is supple, marked by notes of ripe fruit, blond tobacco, and leather, with a well-integrated touch of oak. The finish is long and flavorful, with a beautiful persistence of spice and Morello cherry. A gastronomic wine, ideal with roasted or braised meats.

LA Cetto is one of the oldest and most important wineries in Mexico, located in the Valle de Guadalupe region of Baja California. Founded in the 1920s by Angelo Cetto, an immigrant from Italy, the Cetto family has developed an extensive winery that has established itself as a leader in Mexican wine production.

Today the estate operates over a thousand hectares of vineyards and produces a wide range of red and white wines made from grape varieties such as cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah, zinfandel, merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc or chenin blanc, with a tradition of quality combined with modern practices.

LA Cetto wines are exported internationally and recognized for their diversity of styles, aromatic expression and ability to reflect the particular climatic conditions of the Valle de Guadalupe, combining tradition and winemaking innovation.
