Located in the lush, green Imereti region of western Georgia, Gaioz offers a wine made from the Tsolikouri grape. This white wine beautifully illustrates the lightness and freshness characteristic of the local terroir. Our opinion on the vintage

Tsolikouri captivates with its delicately fruity and floral aromas that awaken the senses. On the palate, its rounded texture charms with its smoothness and balance, with a delightfully lingering freshness. Each sip reveals the nuances inherent to the alluvial and limestone soils of its terroir. Gaioz Sopromadze

Gaioz Sopromadze Winery is a family-run winery located in the Imereti wine region of western Georgia, dedicated to producing natural wines with minimal intervention. Rooted in traditions dating back to 1914, the estate relies on traditional Georgian practices, including the use of kvevris (large earthenware amphorae) for fermentation and limiting the use of chemical inputs in the vineyards and the winery.

Gaioz Sopromadze and his family produce various wines from local grape varieties such as Tsitska, Tsolikouri, Krakhuna, and Chkhaveri, using indigenous yeasts and a very natural approach to winemaking. The wines are characterized by their authenticity, their strong connection to the terroir, and their unique expression of ancestral Georgian grape varieties.

This winery reflects Georgia's ancient winemaking heritage while also embracing the contemporary movement of natural wines, with a deliberately limited and artisanal production.
