Champagne Rémy Leroy Brut Nature

Champagne | White | NM

The winemaking process skillfully blends tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested under optimal conditions to preserve their quality, with minimal yet precise intervention that limits oxidation through gentle, gravity-flow pressing. Balanced fermentation and aging take place in small stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, enriching the wine with aromatic complexity. Zero dosage underscores the purity of the profile, derived from the clay-limestone terroir.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this wine reveals delicate and complex aromas, a harmony of ripe fruit and subtle mineral notes from the clay-limestone soils. On the palate, the blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay expresses itself with a silky texture and vibrant freshness. The winemaking method, emphasizing fermentation on the lees, brings remarkable roundness and depth of flavor. Notes of dried fruit and a hint of citrus leave a lingering impression. This is a wine of exceptional finesse, where each sip offers a discovery of nuances for discerning wine lovers.

Anecdotes from the Estate: The Estate's History. The estate, a former abbey dating back to 1831, includes the tasting room where we are delighted to welcome our guests, and the cellar where our wines slowly age. Everything is done by hand: the wines are stored without air conditioning thanks to the thickness of the chalk walls, and riddling and disgorging are still carried out manually. The Estate's Pride: In Champagne since 1961, three generations of winemakers have succeeded one another on the family estate: Jean, the founder; Jean-Louis, his son; and finally, Damien and Florence. Respecting Champagne traditions, they tend this 4-hectare Premier Cru vineyard in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. The careful distribution of the three Champagne grape varieties across our estate allows for a refined and delicate blend of wines. All of our plots benefit from favorable exposure and terroir in the heart of the Montagne
