Our Review of the Cuvée
On the nose, this wine reveals a captivating subtlety with smoky notes, pear, and candied lemon. From the first sip, the palate is struck by a fine, incisive acidity, enveloped by a creamy and airy texture. The vinosity adds depth, while elegant bubbles offer a caressing sensation. The finish is remarkable for its ability to prolong pleasure, featuring a subtle bitterness of candied citrus peel and persistent nuances of ripe pear and lemon, accentuated by a chalky touch. A wine that marries complexity and delicacy.

Domaine Amirault, le Clos des Quarterons
Loire | France
Located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Clos des Quarterons is a family estate rooted in the region for over 180 years. It is currently managed by Xavier Amirault and his wife Agnès, who cultivate approximately 30 hectares of vines within the appellation's strictly defined area.
The vineyard benefits from a particularly favorable environment: a forest to the north protects the plots from cold winds, while south-facing slopes provide consistent sunshine. The soils exhibit significant diversity, blending gravels, tuffeau directly exposed in the limestone, and deeper areas with a predominant clay composition. This geological variety necessitates precise plot-by-plot management.
The estate is managed using organic farming practices, complemented by a progressively integrated biodynamic approach, with particular attention paid to vine observation and soil vitality. Vinifications are conducted plot by plot to preserve the specific characteristics of each terroir.
