Our opinion on the vintage
The brilliant straw-yellow color of this wine immediately catches the eye. On the nose, an expressive bouquet evokes notes of grapefruit and blackcurrant, enhanced by a touch of pineapple and a subtle floral hint. On the palate, the wine reveals a round and ample texture that envelops the palate. A light effervescence provides a lively freshness to the flavors of white fruit and citrus peel. The finish is marked by a beautiful tension, bringing bitter nuances typical of bitter orange and quinine, a true signature of elegance and balance.
Pierre Ménard
Loire | France
A few rows of Chenin Blanc are all it takes to create a style. Ménard works with micro-parcels, with almost clockwork precision: millimeter-perfect ripening, delicate pressing, patient aging. The wines are straightforward, saline, and profoundly Anjou. In short: they are exquisitely crafted. An estate that has become a cult favorite among wine lovers.
