Our opinion on the vintage

Upon opening the bottle, the nose immediately reveals aromas of ripe white fruit, enriched by notes of acacia honey and linden blossom. The pale gold color shimmers, preparing the palate for a tasting experience that is round and full-bodied. The texture on the palate is both fleshy and luscious, providing a sensation of freshness and fullness. The finish, lively and rich in nuances, reveals a slight bitterness typical of Chenin Blanc, with a subtly spicy touch and a final "yogurt-like" note that invites the pleasure to linger.

Domaine Amirault, le Clos des Quarterons

Domaine Amirault, le Clos des Quarterons

Loire | France

Located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Clos des Quarterons is a family estate rooted in the region for over 180 years. Today, it is run by Xavier Amirault and his wife Agnès, who cultivate approximately 30 hectares of vines within the strictly delimited area of the appellation.

The vineyard benefits from a particularly favorable environment: a forest to the north protects the plots from cold winds, while the south-facing slopes offer consistent sunshine. The soils are highly diverse, combining gravel, tuffeau outcropping directly into the limestone, and deeper areas predominantly clay. This geological variety necessitates precise plot-by-plot management.

The estate is managed using organic farming methods, complemented by a progressively integrated biodynamic approach, with particular attention paid to vine observation and soil health. Vinification is carried out plot by plot to preserve the specific characteristics of each terroir.

The aging process takes place partly in a cellar carved into the tuffeau
