Our opinion on the vintage

This astonishing wine from Laurence and Rémi Dufaitre is as perplexing as it is captivating. Its "blouge" profile is intriguing, somewhere between red, white, and rosé. Upon opening, the nose is disconcerting with its shifting aromas that challenge conventional perceptions. On the palate, a harmonious texture and a rich palette of flavors emerge. The blend of Gamay and Chardonnay creates a rich interplay, revealing both fruity and floral notes, with a pleasantly long and complex finish. This wine invites exploration and discovery.

In Saint-Étienne-des-Ouillères, in the heart of Beaujolais, Laurence and Rémi Dufaitre have been running their estate organically since 2006. Their vineyards, spread across Brouilly and neighboring crus, are cultivated with meticulous attention to the soil and the balance of each plot. The setting is simple, rural, and unpretentious, reflecting the character of the wines produced here.

Laurence, equally involved, ensures the continuity of the work and the day-to-day organization. Together, they are developing the production facilities step by step, notably with the addition of a new winery in 2020, designed to be more functional without sacrificing the artisanal spirit.
