Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is golden and brilliant. The nose is rather discreet but ripe, even candied. The palate is round, full, and ripe, with a soft, pulpy texture enlivened by a slight effervescence. The finish is refreshing, blending candied citrus peel with lemon pulp, complemented by delicate floral notes (rose, orange blossom).

Alsace | France

In the Jura region, Laurent Barth crafts wines from carefully cultivated vineyards, using respectful practices and natural winemaking techniques. His work focuses primarily on clarity of expression and balance, without seeking any particular effect or strong signature style.

The Jura grape varieties—Savagnin, Chardonnay, and Poulsard—are crafted with a direct and taut style, with particular attention paid to freshness and the clarity of the fruit. The wines maintain their elegant structure, supported by a structuring acidity that guides the tasting experience without rigidity.

The winemaking process is subtle and restrained, preserving the direct expression of the grapes and the consistency of the wine profiles. The wines are distinguished by their understated elegance and consistency, offering a discreet yet faithful interpretation of the Jura terroirs, where authenticity takes precedence over showiness.
