Our opinion on the vintage

A beautiful blend of Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc from old vines. The wine immediately reveals fruity character, with subtle smoky notes lingering on the palate. Ultimately, this Nature from Mr. Patrick Meyer is very easy to drink, a true delight that deserves a little aging.

This wine is unfiltered and unsulfited (like all of Patrick's wines, for that matter). It is often cloudy with more or less pronounced oxidative notes. The presence of gas is common and natural.

Julien Meyer

Alsace | France

In Alsace, Domaine Julien Meyer practices biodynamic viticulture, paying particular attention to soil health and the natural balance of the grapes. Riesling, Sylvaner, and Gewurztraminer are vinified there with a focus on maximum transparency, often without the addition of sulfur.

Winemaking prioritizes minimal intervention, allowing fermentation to unfold naturally. The wines may exhibit a subtle fermentative character, embraced as a stylistic element, while maintaining a vibrant structure and precise expression of the grape varieties. Aging is carried out over extended periods, imparting progressive depth without weighing down the wines.

All the wines are distinguished by a strong and consistent personality, offering a direct and vibrant expression of the Alsatian terroirs. The estate embraces a unique aesthetic, based on observation, patience, and respect for the natural rhythm of the wines.
