THE VALUES WE HOLD DEAR
Promote direct, short-circuit purchasing from winegrowers.
Since 2014, our mission has been to help everyone buy better wine and to highlight the men and women behind the bottle.
In shops or restaurants, you often find the same 1,000 winemakers.
The reason? Being a winegrower is a difficult profession. You have to plant the vines, cultivate them, and harvest the grapes. You have to vinify the juice, blend it, and bottle it. And finally, you have to distribute the wine.
That's why 97% of winemakers lack the time to organize their distribution. That's 30,000 wines we never drink—a real waste for our palates. It's to simplify access to these winemakers that we created Les Grappes. We're reinventing the distribution and marketing of wines from independent winemakers, for both individuals and professionals, in France and around the world.
Wines they make with their heart, their grapes and their hands.
Supporting winegrowers in distribution
At Les Grappes, we decided to give power back to the winemakers by allowing them to easily sell directly to their customers.
The added value for winegrowers:
- A unique platform to be visible and to make yourself visible
- A centralized logistics solution for shipping their wines starting from 3 bottles
- An e-commerce storefront to ensure online payments
- A simplified order management interface
This direct-from-the-estate model also allows winemakers to maintain control over distribution and retain 80% of their profit margin. This is how Les Grappes positions itself within a framework of serving the common good, with a clear objective: to ensure our societal impact is positive. And it is by supporting independent winemakers that we are contributing to the tech-for-good movement in the wine industry.
Promoting winegrowers
Behind the label, there are women and men whom we always want to meet.
We set foot in their vineyards to see what they do there, then tell the story of these passionate people.
Founded in 2014 with 20 winegrowers, the community now brings together more than 1,200 committed producers.
A selection exclusively of wines from independent winegrowers who cultivate their own vines, producing wine from their own grapes grown on their own land. To avoid confusion, you can refer to the "N" for "Négociant" (wine merchant) and "R" for "Récoltant" (grower) indicated on the Representative Title Capsule (the famous Marianne) affixed to the cork of your bottle.
Environmental awareness
At Les Grappes, we value winemakers who make strong commitments. We are all affected by climate change, and our wine industry is the first to be impacted by these changes. We are dedicated to showcasing winemakers who practice sustainable agriculture, produce organic wines, and develop methods for reusing resources.
