Located on the steep slopes of Banyuls and Collioure, Galateo de la Coume Del Mas is distinguished by its Grenache Noir grapes, hand-harvested from schist soils. The extreme conditions of this mountain vineyard, with yields limited to 22 hl/ha, give rise to a wine of unique character. Its meticulous production includes pre-fermentation maceration and six months of aging in barrels, before bottling in early summer, resulting in an exceptional product.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, Galateo reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit, showcasing the full energy of its Grenache Noir. On the palate, its texture is velvety, supported by a beautiful concentration resulting from low yields and meticulous hand-harvesting. Its structure fully expresses the richness of the schist terroir, with notes of dark chocolate on the finish that enhance the experience. A wine where each sip transports you to the heart of its breathtaking vineyards, nestled between the sea and the mountains.
