Laherte Frères
The 7 Extra-Brut Solera
Champagne | White | NM
This wine is distinguished by its artisanal winemaking method, where the grapes, hand-picked at peak ripeness, undergo gentle pressing. The slow, spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels at least 10 years old, along with aging on fine lees and bâtonnage (lees stirring), highlights the complexity and finesse of this Champagne. The absence of malolactic fermentation preserves a vibrant freshness, and the solera-inspired blending ensures remarkable depth and consistency.
Les 7 Cépages is a unique extra brut champagne made from the seven grape varieties permitted in Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier, Arbane, Pinot Noir and Fromenteau. This wine, from a single plot planted in 2003, has been aged using the solera method since 2005.

Our opinion on the vintage
On the nose, this Champagne seduces with its delicate aromas of white-fleshed fruit, enhanced by floral nuances and a subtle minerality stemming from its unique Chavot terroir. On the palate, the creamy texture testifies to expert aging, with a perfect balance between tension and roundness. Subtle spicy and fruity touches from rare grape varieties such as Arbanne and Petit Meslier emerge, offering a rich and multifaceted tasting experience. Its long and harmonious finish leaves an impression of purity and elegance.
Laherte Frères
Champagne | France
In the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne, Laherte Frères focuses on micro-parcels and precise winemaking. Their sparkling wines are born from still, yet already highly expressive, wines. There's a great deal of verticality, but also a touch of sweetness in certain cuvées. Biodynamic practices add another dimension. In short: tension and light.
