Domaine Tessier

Cour-Cheverny Les Sables 2022

Cour-Cheverny | White | 2022

This 100% Romorantin wine comes from vines aged 30 to 50 years, planted in clay-siliceous soil which contributes to its minerality. Thanks to controlled malolactic fermentation and 10 months of aging in conical vats and demi-muids followed by 5 months in cement vats, it develops a beautiful aromatic complexity and offers a refined structure. This dry wine is ideal for drinking young to fully appreciate its fruity aromas.

Tessier Estate

Domaine Tessier

Loire | France

In Cheverny, Domaine Tessier, run by Philippe Tessier, consistently cultivates the region's emblematic grape varieties: Romorantin, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gamay. The vineyard is managed organically, with particular attention paid to the quality of the raw materials and the balance of the soils.

The winemaking process follows a natural, minimal-intervention approach, aiming to preserve the clarity of the fruit and the precision of the balance. The white wines favor vertical and taut profiles, driven by consistent acidity and a clear expression of the grape varieties. The reds, on the other hand, are distinguished by their freshness and a very fluid texture, achieved through judicious extraction.

All the wines are characterized by great clarity and a marked stylistic consistency. The estate offers a luminous and precise expression of Cheverny, now recognized as an essential benchmark of the appellation.
