Our opinion on the vintage

From the first glance, this wine captivates with its deep, almost opaque purple color. The nose gradually opens, revealing aromas of blackcurrant, subtly enhanced by smoky and peppery notes. On the palate, the experience is velvety and full-bodied, unveiling a multitude of flavors of ripe dark fruit and licorice. Hints of eucalyptus and pepper bring a lovely freshness, while the finish is invigorating and offers a marked persistence of cocoa, menthol, and sweet spices, all punctuated by a pleasant, chalky texture. A wine that promises a truly delightful tasting experience.

Roussillon | France

Jeff Carrel's work in the Languedoc region focuses on vineyards that are sometimes neglected or challenging, revitalized through a pragmatic approach to winemaking. Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah are cultivated according to the specific plots, resulting in wines that are sometimes juicy, sometimes more structured.

The winemaking process remains intentionally simple, in order to preserve the rhythm and character of the wines. Some cuvées prioritize immediate enjoyment, while others emphasize a more assertive structure. The entire range is distinguished by a direct, accessible style, clearly expressing the Languedoc landscape.
