Reliefs boasts a dark robe with violet highlights and a nose of black fruit, spices, and garrigue. On the palate, it combines complexity, minerality, and freshness, with notes of iris, redcurrant, sandalwood, and black olive. Made from old Carignan vines planted on schist between 1911 and 1944, cultivated organically and biodynamically, it benefits from aging in concrete and then barrels to preserve the fruit. Graceful and grounded, it is best enjoyed after a few years. Ideal with leg of lamb, beef bourguignon, or beef stir-fry with vegetables.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first sip, Reliefs captivates with its intense aromas of black fruit and spice. On the palate, it is generous and silky, underpinned by a pronounced minerality reminiscent of the schist soils of the terroir. Round tannins provide structure and length, while the finish remains fresh and balanced. Powerful yet refined, it perfectly embodies the Mediterranean character. Each sip tells the story of its centuries-old vines and their mosaic of plots.

The first thing you notice is the unique light of Roussillon: it reflects in the wines of Roc des Anges with astonishing clarity. Marjorie Gallet proceeds with subtle touches, preferring the silence of the schist to any demonstrative pronouncements. The reds are straightforward, without heaviness, with a very fine texture. The whites, on the other hand, possess a surprising dry sweetness. Nothing is forced. Nothing is overdone. Just an almost suspended expression of the place.
