Domaine Tripoz

The Graves

Mâcon-Serrières | Red | 2023

This red wine from the Mâcon-Serrières appellation is made from the Gamay grape variety. The 40-year-old vines grow in granitic soil and benefit from optimal conditions thanks to their south-southeast exposure. Vinification involves whole-cluster fermentation, followed by a 15-day semi-carbonic maceration, and then aging on the lees in old oak barrels for 10 months. This entire process accentuates the intense and varied red fruit aromas, while preserving a fine and smooth texture.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, the wine unfolds a beautiful array of aromas: candied red fruits and dried flowers, with a subtle hint of precious wood and spice. On the palate, it is ethereal, offering a delicate freshness and a fine texture that caresses the palate. Notes of cherry and dried rose emerge, accompanied by a touch of tobacco. The finish is flavorful, concentrated just enough to never seem harsh, making each sip as enjoyable as the last.

Tripoz Estate

Domaine Tripoz

Bourgogne | France

In the Mâconnais region, Domaine Tripoz cultivates its vineyards biodynamically, on clay-limestone soils characteristic of the sub-region. Vineyard work aims for natural balance and optimal ripeness, in order to preserve the expression of the grape varieties and terroirs.

Chardonnays form the heart of the production. They exhibit ample and structured profiles, supported by a consistent tension that provides balance and length. Aging is carried out with precision, alternating between tank and barrel depending on the cuvée, with the aim of complementing the wine's character without weighing down its expression.

The Pinot Noirs, produced in smaller quantities, yield wines with bright fruit and a fluid texture, emphasizing suppleness and drinkability. All the wines are distinguished by a remarkable consistency, with precise, balanced, and approachable wines that remain true to the Mâconnais identity.
