Château Boisset - Famille Nadal
Located about twenty minutes from Montpellier, in the heart of the Pic Saint-Loup, Château Boisset is nestled in this landscape of garrigue and limestone hills that define the appellation's identity. Here, the vines face sometimes harsh conditions, but also a great demand for precision to get the best from the soils and exposures.
In 2015, Christelle Nadal returned to the family estate with a bold decision, made alongside her father Bernard: to leave the cooperative winery and produce her own wine. A significant choice, both personally and financially, but one she fully embraced. Vintage after vintage, her style has emerged: honest, straightforward wines, free from unnecessary embellishment, where the primary focus is on precision.
The estate has not been spared by adverse weather conditions, particularly hail, which severely impacted several harvests. This ordeal strengthened Christelle's resolve, now running the estate on her own, to build a coherent and resilient project. Being a winemaker here means accepting the unexpected and moving forward with consistency, guided by passion rather than expediency.
The vineyard covers just over 50 hectares, spread across Pic Saint-Loup and the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert – Val de Montferrand appellations. This diversity allows the estate to offer a balanced range, where the natural freshness of the region is sought after, both in the structured reds and the more approachable wines. A genuine winery, rapidly establishing itself.
