Chateau Meyre
Château Meyre is a historic estate whose origins date back to the 15th century, located at the gateway to the Médoc. Over the centuries, its successive owners have shaped a unique place, marked by ties to royalty, literature, and gastronomy, particularly during Colette Lenôtre's time in the late 1990s. The vineyard now covers 19 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation, complemented by 2 hectares in the Margaux appellation acquired in 1992. A human-scale estate, Château Meyre has always combined a pursuit of quality with respect for the environment, becoming one of the pioneers of organic farming in the Médoc. After several years of sustainable viticulture, the organic conversion began in 2011. The finesse and elegance of the wines were recognized in 2020 with the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur distinction.
