Located in the hills above Chablis, Domaine Bègue-Mathiot has been cultivating a family-oriented and passionate approach to Burgundian viticulture for over forty years. Founded in the 1980s with just 3 hectares of vineyards, the estate has grown over the generations and now spans 18 hectares, divided among Petit Chablis, Chablis, and several prestigious Premier Crus.

A family-owned estate in the heart of the Chablis wine region

The estate’s history began with Joël Bègue and Maryse Mathiot, who released their first bottles in 1985. Today, Guylhaine Bègue and her brother Joffrey carry on this legacy by cultivating their vineyards with the same high standards and respect for the terroir. Located in Les Épinottes, the estate enjoys an exceptional view of the Chablis Grands Crus and a unique terroir shaped by the Kimmeridgian soils that have made the appellation famous.

Precise, mineral-driven Chablis

At Domaine Bègue-Mathiot, winemaking takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit and the distinct character of each vineyard. The wines are aged on their lees for several months, revealing all the finesse, freshness, and minerality characteristic of great Chablis wines.
