Domaine Celine et Fréderic Gueguen

Loire

Founded in 2013, Domaine Céline et Frédéric Gueguen is located in the Chablis and Greater Auxerre regions. Coming from winemaking families, Céline and Frédéric Gueguen chose to establish their own estate in order to work the local terroirs with an independent approach, focused on precision and the quality of the raw materials.

The vineyard comprises more than 35 plots spread across several communes, including Chablis, Chichée, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux and Irancy. This geographical diversity allows for the cultivation of varied soil profiles, predominantly Kimmeridgian clay-limestone, particularly well-suited to the expression of Chardonnay in the region.

Vineyard work is central to the estate's approach, with constant attention paid to grape quality and ripeness management. Winemaking aims to faithfully reflect the diversity of the terroirs, using precise and measured practices, without any artificial enhancement.

The white wines made from Chardonnay are distinguished by their clean fruit and fine minerality, characteristic of Chablis, while the other appellations of the greater Auxerre region offer complementary expressions. The estate's entire approach is rooted in a quest for wines that are straightforward, elegant, and expressive, built on rigor, meticulous attention to detail, and a faithful interpretation of Burgundy's terroirs.
