Fun Facts About the Estate The two sisters are the first generation of women to lead Domaine Cluny! A brief history of the estate The estate’s history began in the 20th century when Charles Cluny, who had initially come to work at Château de Brochon, invested in a few vineyard plots himself. His son, Paul Cluny, then took over. He worked the estate and revitalized it by expanding it before passing it on to his son Charles. Generations followed: Michel took over from his father Paul, purchasing new plots in turn. He then passed it on to his son, Hervé Cluny, in 1990—the fifth generation of the family to manage the estate and father of Léa and Camille. It is they who now cultivate 7 hectares of the finest plots in the Côte de Nuits! At 27 and 30 years old, respectively, they bring a breath of fresh air and femininity to the Côte de Nuits with resolutely modern wine styles, thanks to the work of Édouard, Léa’s husband and the estate’s winemaker. The pride of the estate: Domaine Cluny owns 7 hectares of vineyards in Burgundy, cultivated for 5 generations! Traditional winemaking techniques combined with a responsible approach to wine—that is the essence of the Cluny vintages. Camille and her sister Léa are at the helm of the estate. These winemakers, in their thirties, bring a breath of fresh air to these century-old vines through their youthful energy.
