Domaine De La Réaltière

Domaine de la Réaltière is a family-owned winery located in Rians, in the heart of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence region of Provence. Founded in 1994 by Jean-Louis Michelland and taken over by his son Pierre in 2001, the estate spans approximately 12 to 13 hectares of south-facing vineyards on clay-limestone soils at an elevation of 450 meters.

The vineyards have been cultivated using organic farming methods since 1994 and converted to biodynamic farming since 2011, with hand-harvesting and winemaking using native yeasts and no additives to highlight the pure expression of the terroir. The main grape varieties are Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds, as well as Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Vermentino for whites.

The estate produces red, rosé, and white wines that reflect the aromatic diversity and freshness of the Provençal terroir, combining Mediterranean character with finesse; these wines are often aged in clay jars or barrels, depending on the winemaker’s choice.
