Domaine Vaquer

Domaine Vaquer has been a family-run estate for four generations, located in the heart of the Aspres region on clay-and-gravel soil at an elevation of 200 meters. Frédérique Vaquer knows her estate like the back of her hand and lives and breathes for her grapes as they respond to the winds and the climate. She is passionate about her craft, which involves constant self-reflection and conveying the essence of the terroir through her wines. Her signature cuvée, “Expression,” made from 100% Carignan, is a straightforward, long-finishing wine with fine tannins, featuring notes of stone fruit or forest floor depending on the vintage. The estate comprises 17 hectares of vineyards cultivated using sustainable, respectful, and responsible methods. This hillside overlooking the Roussillon plain, with the sea in the distance, offers a preserved natural setting nestled between scrubland and ravines. Regular surface tillage maintains soil health and promotes biodiversity. Domaine Vaquer produces elegant and fresh wines.
