Gevrey-Chambertin is perhaps the most famous village in Burgundy, home to nine grands crus, including the legendary Chambertin, which Napoleon called “the wine of kings.” Its limestone-rich marl soil produces exceptional Pinot Noir wines.
Gevrey wines are distinguished by their power and structure—more tannic than those of Chambolle-Musigny—combined with complex aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice, and spices. These are wines for aging that reach their full potential over 10 to 30 years.
