Domaine Jérôme Chapel is a wine estate located in Laps, in the Puy-de-Dôme department of the Auvergne region, where Jérôme Chapel established his own vineyard after training in viticulture and wine trade. The estate covers approximately 3.5 hectares of south-facing vines on the slopes of Puy Saint-Romain, on a clay-limestone and basalt terroir.
Jérôme Chapel favors modest yields to obtain concentrated grapes and leans towards natural winemaking, with an approach that strives to respect natural balances, particularly in soil management and the grass under the vines. His white and rosé wines display a delicate expression of Gamay and Chardonnay, while other cuvées develop more structured profiles and are suitable for aging.
In addition to its production, the estate seeks to develop visitor services with projects around wine tourism and to strengthen its presence within the Auvergne vineyard, combining local tradition and personal innovation.
