L'Argilus Du Roi

L'Argilus du Roi is one of the smallest châteaux in the Saint-Estèphe appellation: just 5 hectares, a few thousand bottles per year, and a single, meticulously crafted grand vin. Taken over in 2010 by Martial Mignet, a passionate winemaker, the estate embodies a long-term vision that combines respect for Bordeaux tradition with modern technical precision.

Grown on soil typical of Saint-Estèphe—gravel, pebbles, and sand near the Gironde River—the estate prides itself on having complete control over the production process. A classic and meticulous interpretation of the appellation, resulting in a wine whose quality rivals that of its illustrious neighbors in the Médoc.
