Everything You Need to Know About Maranges
Les Maranges are the southernmost wine-growing villages of the Côte de Beaune, located just south of Santenay. Producing Pinot Noir and a few Chardonnay whites, this lesser-known appellation offers excellent value for money in Burgundy.
Maranges reds are full-bodied, fruity, and approachable, with aromas of cherry and blackcurrant. Though less well-known than their northern neighbors, they more than make up for it with their often attractive prices. A wonderful discovery for fans of the Côte de Beaune.
