Mas Lasta

Languedoc | France

Mas Lasta is a Languedoc-Roussillon wine estate located near Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière, established and managed by Anne-Laure Sicard, an agricultural engineer turned winemaker. The name 'Lasta' means 'last' in Esperanto, as the estate's parcels represent the final viticultural lands before the Terrasses du Larzac plateau.

The vineyard spans small terraced parcels at high altitudes (400–500 m), planted with old Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan vines, cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods, occasionally assisted by animal traction. This meticulous vineyard management aims to revive artisanal viticulture that respects nature.

Mas Lasta wines, particularly the Terrasses du Larzac reds, are distinguished by their freshness, balanced structure, and aromatic expression of the high-altitude terroir, offering complex and harmonious profiles while embodying the purity and spontaneity of the estate's natural practices.
