Marie-Thérèse Chappaz

Marie-Thérèse Chappaz is a renowned winemaker from Valais, Switzerland, based in Fully, where she manages her estate biodynamically with profound respect for nature and the alpine terroirs. She took over the family vineyards in the late 1980s and progressively expanded them to approximately 10 hectares of meticulously cultivated plots.

Her philosophy is based on listening to nature and a very personal approach to wine, where human intervention is minimized to allow the purity of the grape varieties and soil to express themselves. She employs biodynamic practices and indigenous yeasts, with few inputs, to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origins.

Marie-Thérèse Chappaz's wines encompass a diverse range, including Fendants based on Chasselas and more concentrated wines from local grape varieties, offering a rich and distinctive sensory palette, often lauded for its authenticity.
