Vignobles Berthier
For the Berthier family, winemaking has been a tradition passed down through five generations. In 2012, Clément and Florian took over the family estate with a clear goal: to build on the legacy while embracing a contemporary vision focused on the enjoyment and accessibility of their wines. Their driving force remains simple and unwavering: to produce wines that people want to share.
At the heart of the project lies the Coteaux du Giennois appellation, which they champion with unwavering dedication and conviction. Here, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are crafted to express clean, well-defined profiles, carried by a natural freshness. Gradually, the estate has expanded to include Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou-Salon, without ever losing sight of this guiding principle: respecting the identity of each terroir rather than seeking uniformity.
Work in the vineyard is central to their operations. A focus on soil health and the preservation of biodiversity has guided their transition to organic farming, which was officially certified in 2022. This approach is complemented by meticulous winemaking practices that eschew artificial interventions, allowing the grapes and their natural balance to shine through.
The wines from Vignobles Berthier stand out for their honesty, finesse, and approachability. These vintages are crafted to age well, but above all to create those “moments of pleasure” that the two brothers place at the heart of their commitment.
