Vignobles Christophe Pueyo

Bordeaux | France

Winemaker Christophe Pueyo cultivates approximately 8.5 hectares of vineyards around Libourne in the Bordeaux region, on gravelly, low-fertility soils that are ideal for the ripening of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. He follows a natural approach, having begun the transition to organic farming in 2010, with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity, and viticulture that respects living organisms.

In the winery, Pueyo favors fermentation with native yeasts, without chemical additives, and aging in tanks, large oak casks, or sometimes amphorae, depending on the vintage. This approach aims to allow the purity of the fruit, the identity of the Saint-Émilion terroir, and the aromatic freshness of the wines to shine through.

The wines produced at the estate range from red Bordeaux to Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, as well as more distinctive terroir-driven wines, often characterized by elegance, natural drinkability, and a direct, fruity aromatic profile, reflecting the estate’s biodynamic philosophy and its diverse vineyards.
