Everything You Need to Know About Vin Des Allobroge
Vin des Allobroges is a lesser-known IGP from the Dauphiné region, covering the Alpine areas of Isère, Savoie, and Haute-Savoie. This appellation takes its name from the Gallic tribe of the Allobroges, who inhabited the Alps before the Roman conquest.
These Alpine wines, made from Jacquère, Altesse, Mondeuse, or Persan grapes, are distinguished by their lightness and mountain freshness. They are rare and exclusive wines for enthusiasts of Alpine viticulture and little-known indigenous grape varieties.
