Château D'Aydie
The Two Red Cows
Vin de France | Red | NM
The wines of the Laplace family are crafted with care, from harvest to bottling. Made exclusively from Tannat grapes, this wine benefits from a cold pre-fermentation maceration that preserves its suppleness and fruitiness. Vinification takes place at a controlled temperature to maintain the delicate balance of flavors, and aging in tanks for six months ensures natural oxygenation, resulting in a lovely roundness on the palate.

Our opinion on the vintage
Garnet in color with purplish highlights. The nose is fruity and clean, with aromas of red berries. On the palate, the wine is supple and round, driven by luscious fruit and a lovely freshness. An approachable and convivial wine, it pairs beautifully with food, whether with duck confit or grilled lamb chops, or, for the more adventurous, with a chocolate dessert.

Tannat rarely expresses itself with such mastery as in the Laplace family's Madiran. Extraction is controlled, the wine dense but never overwhelming. The more approachable cuvées offer a tender expression of the grape. The most ambitious display remarkable length. In short: structure and clarity.
