Alain Farges

Located at the bottom of the commune of juliénas with a granitic subsoil on a south-facing slope, Gamay grape variety of Beaujolais is raw, manual harvesting, whole bunch vinification without yeast. Manual weeding, Bordeaux mixture, sulphur, presle manure and silizinc are the only products used, my wine is put in half half in a movable ceiling for 8 months to have both fruit and a certain structure.

Our story

I am not an original winegrower and at 59 years old I completely changed direction to try to make the best wine possible. 2016 is the first and after a difficult season (mildew) I am rather proud to present this Juliénas.
